I have a small piece of Morrisonite that I want to slab and cab but I'd like to get rid of the matrix material before that. Is there an easy and/or safe way to do that?

I just cut them with the matrix, I try to look for the best angle that will give me more jasper per slab and cut through it all.

I do like Tony...... However I too only have small pieces of Morrisonite and the slabs end up with odd shapes of matrix, looks n acts like mortor mix, and I have very small cabable shapes. I have wondered about slabing very thick, like 1/2 inch slabs and then tumbling the matrix off. I noticed the saw scrap would tumble the matrix off and only slightly grind on the Morrisonite. Once tumbled clean maybe I could orient whats left and get a much larger slab area to make a cab. What yall think?

Nothing fancy, just do it? While I'm at it, Tony, on the Juniper Ridge smaller pieces, would it still be ok to slab using the 10" blade or should they be tumbled, or what?

The juniper ridge I would cut with the thinnest saw blade you have, if you have a small trim saw the smaller pieces will cut on it easy, you should be able to hand cut it pretty easy as it will cut fast.
Nothing fancy with the Morrisonite, it is just jasper with matrix on it, just have fun and hope you get some killer patterns.
