I got a call from a lady who has been moving her rocks around and her husband told her he was not moving them anymore so she asked me to come over and make her an offer on taking them all. Most are yard rock material but some are really cool? Lots of petrified wood, lots of Calcite (she used to work in a mine in Utah), and a whole mixture of other stuff. Here are a few pics Somewhere in the bottom is a a 400-500 lb calcite crystal we had a heck of a time getting it in there. On the way home I stopped and looked at another estate I had heard about and ended up filling up the back seat with boxes of small rocks and slabs Now I have to sort and put all the stuff away. Anyone need some rock? Have a great day............Tony

no flat tire no weigh scales your on a roll! mohs LOL yeah that's for sure! I just hope people keep calling me when they want to get rid of their rocks, it is such great fun to go check this stuff out. It always makes my day. I have to go back to the second one next weekend and pick up the rest of the stuff since I couldn't get it all into the back seat. I also found a guy with a pile of Carey Tube Agate that wants to do some trading so I will go get some of that next weekend also, I brought one piece home yesterday to cut up and it has lots of killer tubes in it. Some good stuff there.

Wow, Tony's Rock Rescue. If you keep it up they may reassess & raise your property taxes. . . (JK)

(JK) They already raised them, said I made improvements to the property and now it is not farm land anymore. I told them they need to stay off my property then. LOL I think it was the outhouse that made it go up so much.

Now I have to sort and put all the stuff away. Anyone need some rock? Have a great day............Tony How much to just grab a box out of the back seat of the truck and send it to me.... kind of a Pot Luck sale? and no peeking/mixing material. All of the boxes in the back seat are sorted so you would only get one kind of rock, would be kind of boring. I would do a medium flat rate box full of stuff for $40 + shipping or a large flat rate for $50 + shipping and I would put a variety of stuff in it. This is open to anyone who wants one. There is only one box in there I am keeping out and that is a small box of Parrot Wing slabs so everything else will be included. Let me know if you want specimens or cutting material and if you want cutting material what size of saw you have. If you pick specimens you might get just about anything as I don't know too much about them. This is a collection from an old friend of mine who is having health problems and he is done so this is his whole collection that he has collected over the last 50 years, I will go pick up the rest of the collection this weekend. The proceeds of this sale goes to his wife for medical expenses. Tony

sounds like a plan.... will have to wait till after Turkey day but I will get a MFRB from ya. Can you do a mix of sample and cutting? as it is always cool to add to my mineral case as well as my cutting pile.

Tony aren't you afraid of collecting so much rock that when you put it all on your land that it could tip the balance of the earth ? If so you could load a 18 yard dump truck and send it down to Tx to restore the balance ? I could store it for you ...

LOL I do what I can to keep the balance by trying to send as many flat rate boxes full of rock out of here as I can! Eventually someone is going to get one heck of an estate sale here.
Tony
