Thanks all! Scott I would have loved to meet up, but it was a whirlwind trip and I was focused on getting Christa to all the places she wanted to be. No pics of Hollywierd 'cept of the band we took in that night I'm pretty sure we had a good time that night

That wood is either Shrinkwood, from Texas, or - much rarer - Tallahassee Creek pet wood from Colorado. C-ya, Rick

Thanks Rick. I googled Tallahassee Creek wood and didn't come up with any example pix. I asked Steve from sticksinstones his thoughts, he said it might be possible to ID from the cut left edge where the wood is still intact, but the rest was probably in an advanced state of decay before petrification began. Pretty neat
