we old folks are screwed. Yeah, but if it's any consolation, we will get to live in a 'Twilight Zone' episode. . . yay. . .

"we old folks are screwed."
I worry for the young people.... They will have it worse than we did. Plus i like the time period that i did my tour. If i had to wake up to Obamaism for the last 56 years life would have sucked.

A government job with the least politics as best I can figure.

I'm with Jamesp on this one. I mourn for the future of the young people in this country. I fear alcoholism, drug abuse, and domestic violence will become common among the current generation of young folks. Resulting from the frustration and hopelessness they will experience from the lack of a fair opportunity to better themselves. Imagine how quick society will deteriorate when even the willing parents can't have the dignity of being able to work and provide for themselves and their own families without government assistance. And there being little reward for their efforts. I am afraid things will be similar for them as it was for folks in the former Soviet Union. Already in this country anyone under the age of 25 is too young to realize how far we have already slipped. It has already been almost 20 years since the Global Free Trade agreements of the mind 1990s were passed. Starting soon after 1994, and it took about ten years but now our Textile and Furniture manufacturing in the Southeast, along with it's supporting industries have been 95% completely wiped out. None of the young people around here even remember or know how easy it used to be to find a full time job with benefits. And therefore have no idea what has been lost...or why!

Now they want to change minimum wage nationally.
One of the results of that is young kids can't get a job. No time to train them at the higher wage. The concept of an employee paying his own way thru productive efforts is lost on "progressives".
