thank's for sharing pic It is a simple structure, one of the first cutter. ( study ) - 3000 rpm - 400 W (0.5 hp) - 200 mm (8 ") saw blade - Linear slide and vise the machine box is wooden (plywood) Angle iron legs Now I this machine working:

Yes, made 2012 Since then I've built a few saw machine and grinding machine ( orders ) This saw: -1650 rpm 1hp (750W) -10" saw blade - High precision driving (linear bearing) I am planning a 16 " machine. Soon start to produce components I there are many large stone collected. small saw - large stone, not working

Linear bearing on right side is good. All on one side. Very well made machine. Thanks

George,do you have to re-vice the rock each time? I see you have an adjustment mechanism on the vice, but it looks like it is maxed out right there.

Yes, it is possible correction. Unfortunately, only design flaw... move slightly to the right and to the left. only one or two slices can be cut mostly half Nodule can be cut, but it quickly. 1 min / 1" of course it depends on the size of the stone.
