Nice batch, the plumes are really good, I especially like the blue-green lacy one. What is that?

I love that blue lace agate too. Is that natural color or is it dyed?

Thanks, all. Rich and Rob, That is some white lace agate tumbling rough I got a few years back. Really nice but so monotone that the patterns are understated. That was the largest piece, 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". I dyed that one with a mixture of Malachite Green and Methylene Blue. Went into the dye after coarse grind. Probably soaked for a few weeks. Seems it penetrated deeply enough to keep the color through tumbling. Was pleased that some white remained for contrast. Here is what it looked like before.

Nice ones. The clarity of those metallic flakes are cool.

That's some really nice stuff. I like it both dyed and natural.

I'm pretty sure "Emergency Room - Untold tales" or some such tv show had a section on some college boys pissing blue after girls spiked their drinks with meth blue. Funny.

Yeppers, though in my case I am using some left over from my aquaculture endeavors. It is used in the water for some egg layers to prevent newly laid fish eggs from being infected by fungus or bacteria, and as a treatment for a parasitic protozoa Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, (ich) I noticed the staining properties when it stained my finger and the silicone sealing the tank.
It is used as a medical dye. Also was used to treat malaria, as an antidote to potassium cyanide poisoning, and a treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning. It was also used as a placebo, doctors told people to expect their urine to change color and that was a sign that their condition had improved.
