Hi All,
First, I do apologize for not being around much of late!!! Since the Bethel Woods shows, life is nuts!!! I'm showing a lot and between the job and the shows and kids moving in and out, this has been a very busy time for us. One of the things that has happened is that I am being mentored by some local artists and am in the process of being pulled out of the "craft shows" and moved into the "art shows" with this process. In this economy, though, in order to survive the "craft shows" I had to come up with some low end pieces that folks could afford to buy while viewing. At first, I used what I had laying around... and that went very quickly and pretty much ran it's course through the first series of shows at Bethel Woods. I sold a lot of beach stones and sea shells glue ups there and found that I had to go down the Delaware to get more if I was going to be able to continue selling at these shows. The reason for this is pretty simple, most folks don't go to craft shows wanting or expecting to buy fine pieces. They expect to buy doilies and potholders and cinnamon broomsticks. So anyway, I took a quick run down the Delaware to pick up some Cape May Diamonds and stuff that I could throw in the Lotto and Gr sent me some slag glass to be able to get through these shows till Christmas. These got me to the next two weekends where I will be participating in the Holiday Bazaar at the Catskill Art Society which looks like a much better venue for my work!!! Now I'm competing against artists and artisans as opposed to dishtowels and doilies... which will be a nice break for me!!! In any event, it really paid off to have these "low end items" for sale because it kept me going until I could get to this point! I really have to thank BikerRandy and Gr for all of their help in convincing me that having those low end items pulls you through and getting me to these next two weekends! In any event, here are some of the pieces that kept me alive through all of this!

The Cape May Diamond snowflakes:
Ok... time to get ready for work here. Showing here up through the 22nd, so I probably won't be around till after Christmas. Oh, if you're in the Catskills on the 21st, I'll be showing all day and into the evening and the Beer Tasting between 6 and 8 PM at the Catskill Art Society in Livingston Manor, NY. Of the 4 days, that looks like it will be the most fun! Beer, food and live music as well as Rockworlds by Catherine will be there!!!! catskillartsociety.org/events/ Say a prayer and wish me luck!!!
Catch ya later!!!
