another industrial slab of stone. This one 'Onyx'. "onyx Miel". Keep in mind this slab is nearly 10 feet long and over 5 feet tall. The strap is 3" polyester webbing. My first reaction when I saw it the first time was "WTF?" My client wanted it for the kitchen, I turned her down. Onyx too soft for kitchen work, foods and cleaners will ruin the polish. edited to add: I forgot to say $18 sq ft - ~$900 slab

Miel is spanish for "Honey" not what I would call honey onyx, but nice no matter the name.

I wish I could have gotten the entire slab. It has a better effect than what I could get here. I am limited by the lens on my phone and the wall behind me!
Next time I go I'll get a pic of 'green bamboo"

I loved shopping for stone for our counter tops. There is some amazing onyx available. That doesn't look like the "honey onyx" I've seen locally, but trade names are just that.
Just two posts to go for your next milestone, Scott!
