Man, I am out of practice on the wrapping. I was very unhappy and stopped on this over 3 months ago, and just spent the past 2 hours trying to salvage a tough wrap. This is from my first batch of vibe-tumbled cabs almost 2 years ago, with a bit off a slab of bloodstone from Bikerrandy (he sent me my first gift box of rock, to get me started with some decent cabbing material) Anyhow, this was supposed to be for a friend's birthday and I finally got fed up enough with myself to get it done. It is far from my best wrap, and if I look too close I'm not particularly happy with some things about it, but I don't think I'm going to get this one any better and I know my friend will really like it.

I like it, I have never been able to make a wrap like that where the wires that hold the stone in place are so smoothly integrated back into the wrap as a whole... may have to start trying some new wraps myself now !!
Thanx for the inspiration!!

I think it is a fine wrap John. As has been pointed out numerous times, we are our own worst critics. I really like the loops and swirls across the top & bail. I struggle with those =\
Your friend is going to love it!

I agree, it looks pretty darn good to me. This is another time (the Bruneau cab) that your perseverance paid off.

Looks good to me too. Bet your friend will love it. As mentioned before, we are our own worst critics - my advice- if it makes you unhappy when you look too close then just don't look as closely...lol.
