Howdy folks, Still tumbling but I've been very bad about posting any pics lately. Been doing mainly Texas pet wood so it's all kind of repetitive but I have been throwing in a few of my small slabs with every batch. I then take the polished slabs and throw them into a bin as possible stones for the pendants I make for the ranch kids. Did a little sorting today so I took pics of a few of them. Some may be parallel cuts off ones I've posted before but most are from my last few loads. Thanks for looking.....Mel

Mel, I don't want to seem dumber than you give me credit for being but do you use a rotating or vibrating tumbler for your small slabs? Have you ever used a tumbler for larger slabs and if so, which kind? Denny

Denny, I use a rotary 12 pound barrel rig for coarse grind and my UV-10 vibe for the other three stages. Largest slabs I've ever done were Brazilians about 3 inches or so and they came out real well but you have to use a mix of a few slabs with a bunch of smalls. Largest slab in this batch is about 3" by 2" and is the Blackrock Desert t-egg slice in pic #2.....Mel

That's a real nice bunch of stuff. I always get a kick out of that turritella, have to stop and get some more the next time I'm down that way.

Yep, that is Morgan Hill next to the Marfa black and white. Soon as it gets warmer I've just found a cache of really nice Morgan Hill nuggets I had bought years ago at Snyders that I've got to slice up on my trim saw. Should be some fantastic pieces in that lot as I hand picked those for big fancy poppies.....Mel
