I’ll show you mine … if you show me yours. Of course I’m talking rocks. What else would be on my mind on Christmas? Here’s the full Monty. Darryl. Apophyllite [/URL] Quartz Crystals – The quartz crystals are in a heavy metallic ore that appears to be rusted on the surface and has formed in thin mica-like layers. Any ideas? Septarian Nodule Belemnite Birdseye Rhyolite Brecciated Jasper Leopard Skin Jasper Painted Valley Gneiss Chert Schist Happens I Dig Parrsboro Colorized (Fake) Brazilian Geode Crystal Kit (Ages 10 and up) – After 18 years of confidence building together, Laura has finally cut me a little slack and allowed me to play with the “big kid” toys. Actually, this looks fun! “Quick Draw” Rock Hammer Holster – A hunter’s dream. No more struggling with the snaps on the Estwing sheath while I watch the startled rocks scurry away. Decal Pin

Toad - Not sure of the hardness of the Belemnite. This slab has been polished on one side for a cabinet display. My guess is that this material would work very similar to Turitella agate.
lzcrystal - The samples in the photos were left by Santa under the Christmas tree. I believe the slabs were from Stone Age Industries and the cabinet specimens were from The Rock Shed.
shotgunner - Thanks for the ID and location. I agree. Everything seams to be from China now. Even our rocks.
Darryl.

Schist happens, gneiss is nice, but don’t take it for granite. Oh, and nice specimens!
