OK I know you Lavic hounds ( Sabre52 , LarryS , @shotgunner and everyone else who fits the description ) have probably seen it all but this pattern was a first for me. I was cutting up a bunch of Lavic tonight on my push-thru saw and stumbled across this one. Ever seen a black and white ribbon pattern in an otherwise normal looking Lavic rock?

Sweet! I'm amazed at the variation in the Lavic that's been posted over the last few days.

That's a new one to me. I like the surprises you get inside. You sure Scott didn't throw that inside your bucket when you weren't looking?

Nope, I've never cut a piece like that but then I'm never surprised at what one can find at Lavic. Awesome variety of colors and patterns out there. Beautiful find...Mel

That's a cool one! There's really a huge variety at Lavic, even in the couple times I've been.

I told jamesp I could send him Lavic for ten years and have no duplicates. This proves it. I've been there maybe 5 times and never seen anything remotely like that. Larry & Mel have been there way more and haven't either? Dude you scored on that one. haha! What the heck is normal for lavic?? You scored!

There are purples too and lavenders. Many personalities. I cooked some. It is like moss agate in that it turns brown. How cares. It has more variation than can ever be recorded.

The variety in Lavic material never ceases to amaze me! I've only collected there one time, but sure wish I could go back
