My first time working with Snowflake Obsidian, not perfect but I'm sure happy with it. To the naked eye it looks perfect, ever notice those camera shots tend to bring out the flaws you never noticed! And a load of mixed, a lot of Brekian jasper, some Wonderstone, little bit of this and a little bit of that...

I've never seen snowflake with more white than black. Neat, and good job. You may be a new member here, but I don't think you are new to tumbling. Welcome aboard.
Darryl.

Thanks guys, appreciate the nice comments! Just had to post, sort of an anniversary if you will. I found you guys and the board here late 2012 and really spent a ton of time going over all your previous posts, and finally on Christmas Eve day last year decided to get my feet wet & went out and purchased my first tumbler. So it's been just a bit over a year now and I love it...couldn't have done it without all of the previous tips given, so thanks! Mark

Good job. I've got a little of the snowflake here, but it's not nearly as "snowy" as yours.

Snow Flake Obsidian is on my wish list. Thanks for showing us yours. From what I understand it can be a difficult tumble. I think yours looks great.

It took me a lot of trial and error to succeed in getting obsidian shiny. It seems the process was easier coming to you. Nice job.

I sure appreciate all the nice comments...
I don't mind telling you, just by what I have heard and read about it, I was a little worried and alot intimidated by the obsidian going into it, but I can honestly say so far out of everything I have tried tumbling & polishing it was by far the easiest and quickest. What you see there is little more than a months tumbling, plus a week in the lot-o to finish up. And the best part is that it actually looks much better in person than it does in my photo's. I'm not sure if I just hit it just right or got incredibly lucky, but I guarantee you my results had alot to do with a ton of previous comments and directions from all who came before me here on the boards, what a huge help and a great resource you guys & girls are! Sometime in the next few weeks I'll see if it was just luck as I'm going to try a batch of Mahogany Obsidian. Thanks everyone...
