Hey folks, hoping some of you specimen collectors and sellers could give me approximate values on a few things. First are thumbnail smokey clusters examples Next are labeled Apophylite and Stibites from India. Larger size (12 to a flat) examples Also a larger dogtooth calcite Wavelite and carborundum Thanks in advance!

The Carborundum isn't worth a whole lot, since it's a man made material which does not appear in nature.
For the others, I would suggest checking the listings of several of the ebay sellers. Prices will vary, but you should be able to get a good average asking price.

Thanks guys! I wish I knew where the smokeys came from. Picked these up many moons ago in a collection. Getting ready for a show next weekend (my first as a seller!) and I'm just looking for an idea what to put them out at. I'm pretty comfortable with rough and slab prices but when it comes to stuff like this I'm clueless lol. Thanks again for the input

Many shows have "vendors day" or "wholesale day" for sellers the day before the show opens to the public. If this is the case, scope out your competition for similar specimens. From what I have observed, prices vary considerably form one area to another. For instance, your smokey quartz clusters would easily fetch $15 to $20 for a hand-sized specimen around these parts, but may be quite common where you are trying to sell them.

Don't hate me. Your smokeys are quite uniformly dark. They look a lot like the irradiated mt ida crystals on the market. This has zero effect as far as price point with the general punlic, so no worries on your part. Collectors won't want them though. Call them rikki smokey lasers or something and sell them for $25 each to the metaphphysical weirdos.
The wavelite is huge. You could probably get a good price on it. Same with the carborundum. Yeah its man made, but it's bigger than most I've seen.
Good luck at the show!

Wishing you (and everyone) health and prosperity. Good luck at the show. Thanks bud! Going to do my best to get us out to the Q on the 25th. Hope unconfirmed drop ins are welcome to the potluck. If we make it I'll bring along something truly scrumptious. Thanks Darryl, actually we can set up the day before and that's what I understand is happening, kind of a dealers day. I'll be scoping out our neighbor's prices on similar stuff for sure, thanks for the advice! Thanks Geoff, interesting info on the possibility of being irradiated. Never heard of that before, I'm going to do some research on it. I really appreciate the expertise guys!

Yes those metaphysical people pay more and yes hand size go for a lot those are thumbnail which are smaller very good suggestions, at any rate you will be good at what I mentioned before just check out your competition always works. Have a good time in Q and thanks for sharing the minerals love em as much as rocks now. Each area is different on prices for sure that is just what I have payed here in Ore and the smokey from Reno

No doubt Geoff will explain that better.
