The blade looks to be both damascus and "san mai". That is three layers of sandwiched steels. The center one making the blades edge and the rest decorative.

Thank you all for the kind words. It is a San Mai Damascus folder. I had a vague idea what Damascus steel was and no clue about San Mai. I got the blank from Premium Knife Supply and I have been happy with the 20 or so blanks I purchased from them. Maybe when I retire in 20 years or so I will consider forging my own blades. At this point I am still working on getting the handles to look nice .
