Hello Everyone,
Hope the New Year is starting off right for all of you! I'm pretty new here and I understand that trust must be earned so I welcome all of your feedback for this first attempt to not be such a new guy here! I've been hoping to get a chance to collect some material locally that may be of trading value so that I can get my hands on some of those incredible rocks that are only available many hundreds of miles away from Central Texas. So I think I may have found something of interest. I collected Serpentine, or more accurately Serpentinite, at the Coal Creek Serpentine Prospect in Llano County recently. I have only been able to slab a couple of pieces and have not worked with it any further but I have been told that it polishes up very nicely. Pics of some of the materials, both wet and dry are here:

I would like to know if anyone is interested in trading for jaspers, agates, mineral specimens, or anything lovely that I can't get locally? Please let me know your ideas on the best way for me to propose this. I can make small lots that fit in the FRB's if that's best. I can trade piece for piece based on size or weight. I can outright sell it, but I would rather have some interesting rocks than money right now. Let me know what you think!
Cheers, Roland

I would really like to see that, sounds like a good trade. Can you send me pics? I'm interested in pieces for a 10" saw.

ps I won't know for sure until I get an MFRB but my guess is I have enough for 2-3 more of those. The pics are only a sample of what I picked up.

Keith,
The box will be on its way tomorrow. I got about 21 lbs. of serpentine in there for you. I had some trouble finding a box, all of the post offices here were out of the MFRB's! I had to locate an Office Depot that had a stash.
Thanks, Roland
