At one time I read about one cutting the 4" grinding pads and affixing then to the inside of a grinding cup. Anyone remember where that was at?

I just had these made I will be putting PSA velcro into the cup and cutting the granite pads with a bandsaw into wedges to fit into the curve of the cup. I dont know about another thread, sorry I wasn;t responsive to that query.

forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/post/560092If you follow the sphereheaven link, about half-way down the page you can see how he cut the grinding pad with a coping saw starting from the middle of the pad in five lines. That's how I did it. There's a picture or video on his website that also shows how he machined out the middle of the Velcro adapter piece into the shape of a cone. I just put several layers of Velcro on the outer edge of the adapter piece to get the shape of a rough cone. I might try some of the polishing cups that Scott has made up.
