Great set of photos. I'm trying to figure out your route. Looks like you came down 15 if you went through the Virgin River gorge. You probably saw signs for the Valley of Fire State Park, which is where my wife and I were married. That's where I loose your path. Did you come down 95 and go through Needles and then through Parker? I've been on most of the routes in that area and am looking forward to seeing that familiar scenery soon.

Nice pics, Jim. Thanks for posting them. Do you miss the cold and snow yet?
You had said you moved from a 14 day BLM area to a long term area. Which one are you staying at? We never do the long term, because we are never there for more than ten days at a time. We always stay at Roadrunner.
My sunrise pics from potholes were taken about 57 miles SSW of Quartzsite. Quartzsite has some relay great sunsets as well. Do you have any pics from your wanderings around Quartzsite yet, other than Tony?

Thanks all. I came straight down both 95s to Blythe then hung a left.
The way I get good photos while driving is, hold the camera up to the windshield, hit the button many times then delete all the bad ones. If I try to look at the camera to see where I am shooting I go all over the road. I took well over a hundred photos and took two hours trying to decide what to delete and what to save. Jim

Jean, we were typing at the same time. I have not moved to the long term and am not sure I will. I can go two weeks before I have to dump so when I hitch up to move I will dump then. I don't know if this place has a name, it is about three miles north on the right. It is the first place on the right going north. I have to move on the 17th so where is roadrunner?
I have started to get a few photos but not enough to post anything. I spent this afternoon moving a lot of things around and got my drill press set up. jade rings here I come. Jim

Jim, I think you are in Hi-Jolly area. Roadrunner is about 5 miles south of Q, on the west side of 95, at mile marker 99. There's a gas pipeline road, that runs along the north side of the area. We go almost all the way to the back of the 14 day area. There are a lot of RVs and other campers in there, it can get pretty crowded.
There are four 14 day areas: Scaddan Wash, Hi-Jolly, Roadrunner, and Dome Rock. I downloaded some maps from a few years ago of the 14 day areas. I'll see if I can find them.

What?!! You traded your table? What was the trade? I can see why John wanted it. Thanks for the trip pictures. I'd be there if I could.

I am not trading the jade though Pat. The table just took up too much room in my trailer so this summer I will make another one a little smaller. John is giving me one of almost everything. lol Jim

I'll see if I can go get you some black jade before I head out to Q.
Will bring you a small hunk of turkish purple.
Thanks for the trip report.

@wampidy Jim, do you recall roughly how far south you were when you got out of snow? I am going to head out west of Moab this coming weekeng but want to make sure we are south of snow. Did the snow end before you crossed I 70?
I know that was a couple weeks ago but I figure if it was dry then it may still be dry now.
Thanks!

I can't be 100 percent sure John but I am pretty sure I was out of snow before I got that far south. Jim
