Man, those are nice Lysite slabs! I have a little purple jade in my collection. It originated in Turkey and is supposed to be a combination of quartz and jadeite jade. Tough stuff and a bit difficult to bring to a great polish. I think there is also a "rainbow jade" out of Nevada that sometimes has purple sections to it ( most often more pinkish tough). It is nephrite, tremolite, zoisite and some other stuff I think but I've never had any to work......Mel

The purple jade I have from turkey is said to be nephrite - wierd.

Really nice slabs. My wife has a 5 lb chunk of Lysite that is covered with druzy on one side. No way she'd ever let me cut it though.

Neat slabs Jim! I picked up a few chunks of this down at Q a few years ago but never cut it. Gonna have to remedy that
