I finally got brave and made the step from sterling filled wire to solid sterling. I also switched from half hard main wires to dead soft and that was a huge improvement on the loops and swirls. I had posted a few of these earlier but now they have all been tumbled in steel shot and had their patina added.

New ones

old ones finished now (and better photos I think)

Switching over is daunting at first just because you are afraid of making a mistake and burning up silver, but you get used to it.

Thanks Tela. I only ordered enough to wrap about 8-10 stones but a couple sold already today so I'll take that and order more silver. Its a never ending cycle.
