www.rawtreasures.com/detail.asp?product_id=WCOPSDREI think it was Tela that recommended this solder. It's the best by far. I have both copper solders from rio grande, this stuff is a million times better The color match is awesome and IMHO solders the joint much better and nicer. I really like Rio but don't buy their Cu. solder get the stuff at the above link. You can buy it by the foot too Being as the Riosolder and this solder is the same composition, yet The raw treasures solder is much better. Should they not be the same:) Anyway thanks Tela this solder is great

I never tries any other copper solder but did find the solder from rawtreasures worked great and it was very difficult to find the seam I soldered with it.
On another note,,,,Stupid took over yesterday and I managed to melt 2 bezel wire settings I was copper soldering to a back plate on a pendant I was making!Although I'd love to blame it on the copper solder I can't,,,it WAS Toms fault! LOL

I take that blame:) Yes this solder is better than the almost 2 pounds of Rio solder I have now:(. I guess I can use in in certain places.

After destroying the 2 bezels the other day I made 2 more. The back plate was a mess so I trashed that too,,,,boy am I glad this is only copper! LOL I don't know what happened but after I soldered the 2 new bezels I found that the copper solder had more of a silver look to it then when I soldered the original bezels? The color match is not there now and I don't have a clue why??? Same copper, same solder,,same everything except the color match? Any thoughts? connrock

I knew you were Tom too or to, I forgot and I will still take the blame:) I am good at taking blame cause I usually deserve it! With the Rio solder I would reheat the piece to just before melt, then let it cool slowly not quench. The color would mostly turn back to copper, let us know if that worked pls.
The blame dude,
Tom

I don't remember if it was me that mentioned it or someone else, but I'm glad that rawtreasure stuff is working for ya. I love it. I need to buy some copper bezel wire. I love working with copper.
