First of all want to make sure I thank beefjello again for the thoughtful grab-bag of rocks he and his wife brought to the Quartzsite bbq. The highlight of every bag was one of the highly coveted RTH stickers - my bag happened to have two stickers attached (heehee) which I of course didn't say anything about because we have two rock-hounding vehicles In the bag of rocks was a little agate nodule with red/yellow fortification showing on one end - it also had a crack showing so I wasn't hoping for a lot but as I cut it by hand the crack turned out to be very short lived and I got two flawless little slabs from the nodule. I cabbed this one and left the rough edges and prong-wrapped it as a gift to my granddaughter - tonight we are driving down to where she lives to see her perform in her first play. I'm sure she's going to love it as much as I had fun making and wrapping it. Thanks again Brian - you guys went above and beyond and it's appreciated. I'd love to know where the nodule came from - if you have more I would buy some from you or make a trade if I have something you would want.

THAT is a gorgeous stone! I like the wrap- it lets the stone keep its shape. Great choice.

Thanks! It really is a beautiful little stone. I don't think my first round of pictures did it justice :-)

I'm sure your Granddaughter will be thrilled with both the exceptional job you did cabbing and wrapping it Sure enjoyed meeting you and Eva, and thanks for keeping the Sam Adams flowing all night

Such beautiful colors in that nodule, and your copper wrap goes fantastic with them.

Great stone and I really love the minimalist wrap. It's cool when the wrap accents the pattern rather than covering too much of it up, especially on things like fortification agates where a full face pattern is showing.....Mel

That is sweet, Tommy! I got a nodule in Beef's goodie bag as well, I hope it's half as nice as that one. Great work and great wrap!
