This is something I have been thinking about for awhile now while iI was down in Phoenix last, I went to Woodworkers Source and picked up some bowl blanks. This one is Maple and the Tuequoise chips are some that my wifes uncle gave me. I believe the turq. is from the Morenci mine. It isn't finished yet. The blue tape was to keep the ICE Resin off the wood. I'm hoping to get it finished this week. I've spent a little time researching the inlay process because I like this idea and am planning to do more. Thanks for looking! I'll repost here when it's finished

I am curious as to what chisel will do wood and stone at the same time. Or maybe you will cut around the stone. Also curious if you use wood from the west land. I am always fetching up palm and burl for my 2 bowl making buddies. This maple fell last month due the the creek washing around the roots. Should be about 15 inches thru. As you get a few feet down the trunk it is 3 feet thru. I have also gotten very old wood that washed up on large Florida lakes. They give us a bowl occasionally for my efforts.

Careful there, you already have enough hobbies.

Blasphemy! There's no such thing as enough hobbies! I was once up to around 40, but ran out of money, space, and time. Gave up stamp and coin collecting, model airplanes, ships, cars, rockets - rocket photography was a blast! Time doing one was time lost from playing with any other. Being a "wheel" isn't very effective. Studying the mind, hypnosis, Astronomy, woodworking, geology, hounding, lapidary, and now getting back into metal working takes more time than I really have.

Pretty much how I do the foot prints on my knife handles. For the smaller ones I find it easier to mix the chips, and ground turquoise into the epoxy first. The bowl is going to look great. Woody
