Hi Jon welcome! that's a beautiful stone with a real nice dome and shine you got there. I don't know what the stone is either but I like the second picture - really shows off the plumes.

Great cabs from everyone! I was hoping to enter one this month and had two slabs picked out. A blue'ish Pietersite with a single red'ish swirl and a slab of Fordite. One of the dogs got into the garage and knocked over the little table I had several slabs on. All but two of them shattered on impact with the floor. I don't cry pretty lol. By the way, anyone want a dog? Her name is "Clumsly heartbreaker who better not ever come into my garage again unless she wants me to turn her into a cab and wrap her in copper"; but she answers to "Mini"..

I'm so sorry to hear that. Pets can be such a pain in the butt sometime. Those slabs sound like they would have made nice cabs. I have 4 cats, so I don't think the wife and I are looking for a dog.

tommy, I noticed you use the plastic dop sticks, where do you get them from? I have some I got from someone selling some rock but can't figure out where to get more.

I'm in for this month's KCC with my first cab of Olympic Poppy Jasper from Washington State. I purchased a few pounds from GoodEarth which arrived Tuesday the 25th. It's very nice material but has fractures so a cabber must be selective. Excellent entries for the contest. I love to see what other members are cabbing. Please excuse the lint in my photo's...... Rough........ Preform.......... Completed cab........ 39don

Marinedad sorry I missed your question until now - I got them from my brother who gets them from a highway department employee - apparently they are the sticks attach to the back of the reflective road dots - I've searched the internet trying to find a source to buy them but can't find anything. My bro gave me 100 of them and I've been recycling them over and over. They work fantastic with crazy glue then I saw them off the rocks when I'm done and grind the surface flat to be used again. Some of them are getting a little skinny up top.
