Nice shots and materials James. How close do you think the images are to 3-D eyeball colors?

Nice mtl. and good pics. of it. You get it all figured out so everyone else can do it too. Nothing like having a good teacher. Problem here is we haven't seen the sun for a while. Larry

Larry Hell Larry, i am getting into the photography as much as the rocks. Bet warm weather will change that. As far as you not having sun; my sister says your town is one of the prettiest places on earth. No pity for you Larry the quartz man

Nice shots and materials James. How close do you think the images are to 3-D eyeball colors? Very close this go. But magnification makes the color 'bigger than life'. Because the stones are much smaller than the photo Rick. But i do not care. They have cool colors and patterns. I enjoy photographing them more than any part of the process except finding them.LOL. And using noon sun and clear sky did the trick. I listened to what you said about noon light. And you are right. I had failed in bright sun before because of my bright shirt reflecting into the rock and did not notice the effect till today by accident wearing a brown coat.

I'm glad someone likes the place, pretty is out in the brush. Our big back yard is the sanity here. Ya gotta pity me, I'm becoming very light deprived; pale and shriveling like a prune.
