Needed to get out of Alaska for a while so we decided to visit the wife's family in California. How convenient that our flight came through Phoenix! Took a long layover so we could cruise over to Tucson for a day. We went to the show at the Hotel Tucson City Center. Didn't realize how big of a deal it was! Got there at 9:30, by 3 I was only a little over half way through the thing. We had to leave so the girls could get a nap. Found a few treasures, not too many though. Didn't want to try and get a whole mess of goodies back home. Hannah's first plane ride Audrey's an old pro Her first experience with a dinosaur started with tears but ended in smiles Six hours of rocks and playing with older kids on the grass wore her right out. All my goodies Found a nice guy selling things for the Inyo mountains near the in law's house Gave plenty of money to the Adelaide Mining Company Space rocks Chinese fluorite Some nice beryl and dioptase

Keep your pallasite meteorite stored in an airtight container with a desiccant. Some pallasites can be real rusters.

That's quite the beryl inukshuk in the last photo. I've seen some nice single crystals, but never a cluster like that. Where on earth is it from?

Thanks everyone! That's quite the beryl inukshuk in the last photo. I've seen some nice single crystals, but never a cluster like that. Where on earth is it from? It's from Erongo, Namibia. Here are a few more pictures:
