That's great to hear. I went ahead and used the Shoe-Goo and inner tube in a four inch barrel last night. I roughed up both the pvc and the rubber with some sandpaper and applied the Shoe-Goo to both pieces and let them sit a thought to "semi-cure". I never knew to apply it to both pieces being glued nor the "wait two minutes" part....amazing what you learn when you actually read the instructions! It seemed to be curing nicely when I left it last night. Naturally I found out after doing it that I really didn't need it for coarse grinding which is the intent of this barrel. But, it prepared me for future larger barrels. Thanks for the reply and confirmation that it works!!!

I started my first tumble with the Shoe-Goo'd inner tube liner in the pvc barrel. I had to trim about 1/4" off of the rubber at the opening being as I didn't leave enough uncovered pipe for the inspection cap to fit in. That Shoe-Goo was definitely holding that rubber strip tight! Now with the grit, rocks, and water inside of it tumbling away we'll really see how it works. I anticipate the same results that you had, Mark....that's some *tough* stuff!!! I'm planning on building some 6" barrels later on...I may just line them for the quietness but with the cost of the Shoe Goo I might not. Did you notice how when you wipe the Shoe Goo on the rubber that it seems to disappear into the rubber?
