This is an Ocean Jasper in copper I wrapped last night. The Dad_Ohs sent me the slab for this. There is a nice druzy pocket in the middle, which won't photograph for me =\ The cab is a little over 2-1/2"x1-1/4". I wrapped it in 22ga square copper w/ 20ga half-round copper & LOS for the patina. Beautiful job Roger! I really like the cross over design you did at the bottom, and that stone is fantastic!

I agree with Brian, that stone is fantastic and you did a beautiful job on it. I think the patina on the wire goes well with the colors in the stone.

Nice stone! I like the cut. Your wrap is cool too. I like what you did at the bottom a lot. It looks to me like the only thing you have trouble with is the bail- but then don't we all?

you have trouble with the bail I have no idea what you are talking about Tela! That bail is SPECTACULAR! Okay, okay, fine...I hate bails and clearly they hate me right back lol. Sad part is that I have looked at the tutorials, bought, looked at then dissected several example wraps, and watched some videos on bails. I still don't seem to "get it". I am sure eventually there will be a "click" but boy I wish it would happen soon lol.

I've come to believe that all bails are truly evil. This probably explains why I prefer to buy pre-made ones. But I love your pendant... the wrap design is so perfect for that stone.

the bottomis neat, and it really works that the stone gets warmer as it gets near the top

You've been doing so awesome in such a short time- I was only messing with you. Bails are tough for everyone. To this day, I stop and smoke a cigarette before I tackle a bail. It's the last thing you do and if you mess up the whole piece is wrecked. I know how it is. You'll get it and it will get easier.

Let's see if I can make Tela backpedal or stick to her guns [quote author=" rockjunquie" ...It's the last thing you do and if you mess up the whole piece is wrecked.[/quote] So what I hear you saying is that all my wraps are "wrecked"?! Tela!!! OUCH!! I know what you mean and how you meant it lol. I have to get better at it. I enjoy wrapping (who knew THAT would happen?!) almost as much as making the cab. Well, maybe not that much..but I don't hate the process anymore

It's a beautiful cab and wrapping presentation Roger! You have officially inspired me (as if you hadn't already) and I ordered my very first container of LOS today. I've got a really special agate that we collected last month in Arizona and she's going to get a full wrap (complete with messed-up bail) and a patina.

I also have a hard time with the bail. Think tight and less is more.
