With much appreciated help and direction from Sheri, Tim, and Diane we made a trip out to 4th of July Butte area a couple of weeks ago after our visit to Quartzsite. We didn't find very much - I don't think we found the right location where the team was trying to guide us to - but we did find several of these agate nodules with blue tones in white and fantastic 3D fortifications. This little nodule yielded six small single-cab slabettes. I wish the camera could show how deep this is. It gives the best botswanna I've seen a run for the money. I thought I had decided to give the silver a patina but now I'm not so sure anymore...   |

Wow, that is outstanding. I like it without patina. I don't think I've ever found anything like that out there but may have to look at what I've got again. Great find and I'm so glad you found something out there.

Thanks Diane! We only found about 3-4 good nodules so I've been trying to make the most out of them. I've got another cab finished - much different material - getting read to wrap it so hope to post pictures later.
