Well, the ice will crack the rock and when it thaws it will wash the material around. Looks like it will be a nice collecting spring for you guys. Always look on the bright side. Stay warm, T-shirt & shorts here in Cali., just no water to drink!

Nice conditions to make pictures, but sure a pain 'till it melts. Rumor around is the house on the hill in the pic. w/downed tree is your guest house.

I was cruising around today(Thurs) to see where the lines were down and saw that big tree and took a photo. That is an old southern 2 chimney one room deep house. Likely bricked over. There are very few left. I do not know it's history but know that it is a historic landmark. It is about a mile from my place. He should have plenty of firewood !

Stay warm, T-shirt & shorts here in Cali., just no water to drink! In a couple of months it will be dry and heating up plenty halite. The ice has a way of making you hibernate. So i like that part.

James, we got a thin layer of ice, then mostly snow up here. That ice covering the trees is beautiful.

Thought I'd rub on you a little. Some of the things I enjoyed most when in Maryland were the old buildings and stone foundations under barns, etc. We don't have the history here.
