Pieces in Silver About five years ago the wife and I did twenty to forty shows a year. On days we were home in Washington kept us preparing for the next show. I tried to complete three silver pieces a day or twenty to fifty cabs depending our needs and costumers wants. We are now wintering in Yuma AZ fully retired from customer wants. My silver bench is in Washington and I will apologize for the condition of the pieces shown. Most of the pendants were made and stones were collected about five years ago around the Yuma AZ area. Nice dumortierite found in the Indian Pass area.(In Brass and used, I see an interest in the area and my favorite.) Orbitcular Jasper. One of a kind rock but it weighed thirty pounds. We have a beautiful 6" sphere made from it. Oh yes Brenda AZ Brenda AZ is 90 miles north of Yuma. Worth the trip Birdseye collected 50 miles north of Yuma Birdseye with a different look Birseye One of the many varieties of material at Red Bluff Mt. Red Bluff Jasper is in a class by itself. Close to being my favorite. I have shown this before and it deserves another look. Psilomelane-Agate in silver. Stone collected at Red Bluff Mt. All of my pendants have a swivel bail large enough to pass a 8mm bead. Sterling and my Hallmark. I did not know where to post this and I hope you enjoy it. I have many different ideas than has been shown in the metalsmithing section and I hope to present them in a couple of months. Don

Beautiful pieces, thanks for showing. Is it Red Bluff Mountain or Red Bluff Montana. I know that Mt is for mountain but some people go both ways and I will be headed to Montana ?? weather. Jim

Beautiful pieces! 20-40 shows per year + everything necessary to prepare sound like a real grind (no pun intended), but your love of it all really shines through. Congrats on the retirement.

Hi Donnie Nice cab of Birdseye I just drop the word rhyolite maybe I shouldn't but I do. I think there should be another classification for this material. It does not resemble any rhyolite that I see and know. I will be selling slabs soon I have about hundred pounds surplus. There is a 32 pound LFRB ready to go. Don

The third one looks really cool was it hard to do? Nice job on all those. I hope you are talking about the third pendant. The bezel was soldered on the plate then it was sawed out. I normally make the setting plain to show off the stone not my silver work, except for the bail. I solder my bezels on by putting heat on the back using the up side down method. Don

Great work on all of them. That first brenda really caught my eye. Those local stones are really interesting and a lot of variety.
