Damn it Larry. I hope Goober bites you. Soon as the saw oil thaws out, I'm gonna slab a bunch of Lavic.

Yowser! Lavic is always so interesting to see cut. In some ways so much the same but with patterns as different as snowflakes. Beautiful cuts! I like #3+4 best....Mel

Yup, 3&4 are classic Lavic with the red and yellow brecciated stuff, and the pale blue agate infill. That's the colors we searched for back in the 50's. Everything else was left laying.

Hey Larry, as soon as I saw those pics, I opened that box of creosote bush ya sent me, and had a good smell of it. Really cleans the sinuses out.

I'm sure Lavic was good in your days. All we have is the stuff you guys left behind!
I like #3 & 4 too. Glued the rock to a 2x4 and will be able to get 2-3 more slabs.
Don, search the web on creosote. Indians used that stuff for all kinds of things. Sure stinks!

I think we should ALL send Don a box of Creosote cuttings.
Better yet, I am gonna get him a potted creosote so he can pee on it himself!

really nice slabs... my faves are 2,3,4 that pattern in the yellow will make awesome cabs, and 3&4, with those colors even ugly cabs would be brilliant!! can't go wrong with great material like that... I'm gonna have to get me some lavic one of these days... maybe next time y'all go lavic hunting I gonna have to run away from home and join you!!
