I did these yesterday using Regency Rose plume agates over red jasper. I'm gonna try some today over black agate ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) .....

Those are beautiful Randy! How thin did you cut both pieces? I have really got to try that! Fran

Randy, Haven't seen much of your work lately. This one really reinforces the level of skill that you have in creating fabulous cabs. Great work! Bob

Wow, that really makes the plumbs pop & gives it a deep 3-D effect.

Thanks! Fran- The red jasper is about 1/8th inch thick and the Regency is about 1/16th. These do take a little bit longer to do but they are so much fun. You always have some idea of what they're gonna look like, and they turn out even better

Gorgeous! I have seen lots of colors for backing but not red. I think it looks very dramatic.

Randy those are excellent. Do you polish them flat before joining them together? also what do you use to hold them together? Epoxy? Rock on! Jason

When you say doublets, the brain usually defaults to either a black background, or a clear quartz cover. I must be too linear.
Now that we have seen what red can do, how about a green jasper back, or a deep blue sodalite back?
Darryl.
