I bought these letter opener blanks thinking they would be the exact same size cab as my wine stoppers but of course they are the same shape but a little different size so I had to make a new template. My wife thinks these would be decent show sellers so I'll make 6 just to test the waters. Here's the back side. Thanks for looking Chuck

Looks great. Question: Is the letter opener symmetrical? What about possibly putting one on each side? I would expect them to be a sellable item.

yep its symmetrical just like the wine stoppers but these are large cabs at 2" tall and 1.5" wide so putting two of them on there would probably put them out of most folks price range for a letter opener. That's just my opinion though.

That's just my opinion though. Chuck Ya might make a few double sided from real high end eye catchy stuff and make the VERY expensive. I have found VERY expensive sometimes sell first and fastest! Not many people can claim to own a $200 Sugilite letter opener! I had a guy used to come to my reptile store and pay full retail on my stuff, take it home double the price and sell the very same snake online. And he sold them! He just had a knack for presentation. I think you will too. (THAT is a compliment!)

Chuck, I see two issues to consider.
I agree with Scott= at least have a couple doubled expensive ones. Some might buy them and if not, I have found that having some real eyecatchers increases sales of less expensive offerings. even if they can't afford one of the really expensive ones, they are thrilled to be able to get an affordable cousin. They see it as a real bargain. Also, you could see the relative demand for each.
One the other hand, the doubled ones may make the single sided ones look unfinished to some people??
They are nice either way and should sell.

Branching out some more, I see. I have to tell you honestly, I don't like these. The handle just seems too wrong for the blade length. Not to diss your work, at all. And, I agree with the others, you should always have some high end, bigger ticket things. There are a lot of people out there who WANT to pay more. Me, I'm a cheapskate, so I can't figure it out, but it's true. Hope they sell well for you.
