Some he heat treated and some i did. I think he reheated some that i heated to get better knapability and smoother chip surfaces. The knappers will take little test chips to be sure it is a material they can work with. This white started translucent white and heats to milk. And i think i will be waiting at the mail box since Rick sealed me a couple in an envelope

Nice! I really like the drill but that eared unfluted Folsom looking point is cool too. I actually have a similar one of those I dug that is obsidian....Mel

Nice! I really like the drill but that eared unfluted Folsom looking point is cool too. I actually have a similar one of those I dug that is obsidian....Mel Finding folsoms and clovis(paleo) stuff is hard to do in the SE US. They are certainly trophies.

Rick's points are as good as they get. But he is quite particular about the heat treatment. I think he cooks them to the nearest 1/10 of a degree.
