Those first three look more like they came from Idaho and are of the Russet family Cool rocks and can't wait to see 'em peeled and......er.. I mean cut and cabbed

I'll throw in that they look like PEI potatoes, so I guess we can't agree on location. Got them cut yet? How about now?

I candled them (agates)and they are dark,one has some deep red in it...

Oh boy, looks like you are going to have fun cutting them to see what treasure is inside. If you see red that is really good since the red are supposed to be harder to come by at least as far as I've heard.

I am no potato expert so I wont even attempt to figger out the strain of spud. But this one in particular would do well baked for an hour at 400F and then split open and drowned in sour cream, chives and perhaps even a bit of parmesano regianno.
