Can i plow your garden next year? About 3 inches of topsoil, then couple inch layer of jaspers, quartzites and wood,in almost solid layer, then clay.No telling how many tons per acre. Most all the topsoil was farmed away, washed or blown away in the olden days, what little was there to begin with. Build my soil on top of it.You are welcome to come spade it up next winter!! snuffy

Sure wish our place was like that, I'd upend it all. We have several feet of dirt thanks to the Montana floods of yrs. ago.

A friend who did mechanical work for a nursery said this is one of the few areas where plants can be started, shipped all over the country, and survive.

I "made" you plan a dig, maybe I planted the thought. Sure wish I could come and help for a split.
