Well that's alright, if SOMEBODY doesn't take some more material out it's gonna end up overflowing into two boxes again.

Yeah, I still have two taped up bubble wrapped sections of slabs I couldn't fit in. I thought about sending those two on to you, Mirkaba, to let you decide what you wanted to do with them...but was afraid of getting chastised for going to two boxes. I even took out additional items that were triplicates (pet wood & unknowns, mostly), just to fit my pieces in there. And then I had to repack when I realized the box of wraps and misc. items hadn't been put back in.

I had some petrified wood from over in the Bridgers ready to go in........But then I ended up taking some out. There is still plenty of wood. But I did dig into my quasi-secret stash and pulled out 2 of my last 4 pieces of Dryhead and put in. I have to get some more of that stuff. But its about 300 miles over to the Pryors Anyway all said and done the box weighed out at only 17.5 lbs on my scale. Must be all the wrapping in there.....cause it is perfectly full!

Sad to report that the box is now officially out of our hands. However. . . . It's on it's way to it's new recipient rockkitten! My wife & I had a blast with it! Simply amazing how generous this group of people are! There are a ton of beautiful specimens in the box! Was very sad to see it go but happy to know just how happy & excited rockkitten & the others will be to get it! Thanks again for setting all of this up Simon Belmont (LCARS). Robert & Gina

i got it, i got it!!!! picked it up from the mailbox on my way to work and had to wait 6 hours before i could open it. i was so tired when i did, i just quickly peeked at everything and layed it back in the box, but now the box is overflowing! not sure how i will ever get it all back in and add more to it. guess i'll have to take time to look everything over (pure torture) and decide what stays and what goes. alot of the pieces are very small, alot of the labels are worn off, so no clue what they are and some of the bigger slabs are broken :-( but this is so exciting, it's like Christmas and opening about 30 packages! YeeeeeHaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! I definately want in on the next round.

Wonderful! Glad that you've received it! We had a similar experience but know enough (from learning here @ this forum) what things were for the most part. Also noticed that a lot of the slabs had been cracked or where cracking due to all of the packing/repacking & reshipping but still we had an incredibly fun time with it nonetheless. We also hope to get in on the next round if there is one? Either way, all in all, both Gina & I can not thank LCARS enough for all of his time & obvious effort that he put into this to make it happen & to run so smoothly. You truly ROCK!Last

Right on, that was pretty quick! ...and seriously guys, it's not THAT much work running the box this time around. Most of the work went into the first one Steve started and the first round of my remake. Round-2 is practically running itself thanks to you guys and I didn't want to have it rely on me always being around to manage it. There ARE times that I get called away for several days without warning if there's a new GPS adventure contest.

Whatta treat the box was! I pulled some slabs, a couple fossils, some tumbled stones and a wire wrap. I included some cabs, slabs, pet wood, rough lakers a polishing pad and some diamond paste. The box was hand delivered to the next recipient as I was in her neighborhood yesterday Thanks Rob for hosting the cache box! Rock On!!! ;D
