Howdy folks, Finally finished a batch of blue swirlstone from South Africa that I got from Kim many moons ago. Mixed hardness material composed of feldspar, sodalite and other stuff so it only took a marginal shine and that was after a long, long run. Ran it alone cause it's softer than agate and jasper and I wish I would have had some tin oxide polish left because that might have done better. Tin, for me, does better on mixed hardness materials. Swirlstone does much better on the wheels that it does in the tumbler but I wanted to try some so I could include some tumbles in my box for Lowell's kids. Anyway, here's a pic.....Mel

The color is very pleasing, love blue rocks. I'm sure the kids will love them too!

Sometimes some just dont take a shine, but i bet they would be great in a fish tank.
