Hi All, I am looking for a video that I looked at several months ago and forgot to bookmark. It is a video of cabs being drilled and then having eye pins added. All the cabs are in a row on plumbers putty. It was a very informative video and I want my wife to be able to watch it. Thanks so much in advance

John:
I PM'ed you that I would try and update this now dated post. As for a video, I wish I was a little more techno-savvy. I can update the photos and make a few more suggestions though. Stay tuned!

Darryl, I was wondering, what size bit do you use for drilling the holes? Again thanks so much!

John:
As for bits, I usually buy from the Rock Shed. I believe they are 1.25mm. I've seen them in the range of 0.50mm to 0.75mm, but they are difficult to use. I think the ones I buy are about $14 for 6 bits, about $2.25 each. I've tried more expensive bits, but didn't find paying extra made them last any longer.

Darryl:
Ironically we just got an order from Shawn at the Rock Shed today. Thanks for the tips, my wife will be very happy. She has been doing lapidary for years with purchased items. She got me into rock tumbling because she knew I loved geology and remembered me talking about finding agates as a child along the Mississippi river. In a few short months we ve purchased a rotary and a vibe. Before long we ll be adding other rockhound equipment to our arsenal.
