The birdseye rhyolite was even softer and more troublesome then most I have worked with but now that its wrapped I really like the color combo. I am not sure what the second one is but this was quite the adventure. I hate wrapping ovals to begin with and this one sure gave me fits. I have never tried this prong style wrap and trying to get perfect symmetry using this style had me pulling my hair out. I am pleased with the results but it sure took some time to complete it. birdseye Unknown (please help with I.D. if you know it) Ignore the pieces of steel wool, I forgot to blow it off with the compressor before photos. Thanks for looking Chuck

The rhyolite is beautiful, the color of the wire goes very well with the stone. Don't know what that second one is but like the color and the wrap. You did great on those prongs, I've never been able to get those to look right.

I have total respect now for folks that do this style of wrap. Its a triple challenge. You have to try to get each prong to end up the same length then you have to try to get the same squeeze on them ( I still see gaps on a couple of mine) and lastly on this oval you have to try to get it all symmetrical. Oh my! They're both fantastic! Quite a challenge to line it all up but you did a stellar job! Love the prongs.

The birds eye is a eye opener. The wire blends very nice with the stone. And nice and even and tight wrap on the second wrap.

Chuck I know what you mean, I've tried it a couple of times only to wind up with scrap wire and no wraps.

Beautiful job on both wraps! The colors of the 2nd one remind me of pigeons blood jasper You may be right. I googled it and one image I found for pigeons blood is close. Mine may be a tad more brown than red though. It sold already and I hated selling it without proper ID. Here's the image I found thats close Thanks! Chuck

The prongs look great! As good as that piece looks, I have to go with the rhyolite- the wire just suits the stone so well. They were made for each other.
