I usually ruin one for every two I attempt but today was a good day... Carnelian agate - this beautiful "extra large" 60mm x 26mm double-sided cabochon was made by my brother. I double-prong wrapped it in copper and added a patina and rubbed it out before the stone went in. This gave it a really beautiful appearance - better than the camera can capture - and the six-wire double-prong resulted in a VERY strong and secure setting despite the rounded edges front and back. This is a 40mm x 30mm cabochon - we never positively ID'd the slab so I'm just calling it Mexican sagenite. This one also looks better in person. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Pat - I think my photography skills suck but thanks I got a new phone and it seems to take nicer photos than my last phone.

I sold my soul to the company and they handed me a new Galaxy S4 last week. I'm still trying to get used to it but it seems to take pretty damn good pictures - closeups are better than my old phone, colors maybe not so much.

Very nice indeed. The first one is beautiful and the prongs look great. I like the simplicity of the second one, really shows off the stone. WTG

Both are beautiful and the photos are great as well, as far as the id of the second stone, I believe it is Mexican Crazy Lace Agate, I also have some that looks just like that, so, please, if I am not right, please correct me. Tammy

They are both absolutely stunning, and adding to the inspiration to try new and different types of wraps.
