I'm not very knowledgeable about geodes, but I don't think it is a geode.
Might be more than "just a rock" though. Might be a wonderful rock! Good luck with it.

Thanks Pat=] I just noticed it was round and ive always wanted an amethyst geode...using my imagination I was like wellll I could see one in there(imagination) but ill hang on to it, im not very knowledgable about them either

It looks like just about every rock in Lake Superior (or any of the Great Lakes).

I love going down to the beaches here in south central Alaska and collecting ocean worn igneous rocks like yours. If done right they polish up into some of the most interesting rocks you could find. I particularly like ones with a single conspicuous phenocryst. They're like little mineral specimens. I'll kick around on a beach for hours, picking up the occasional agate, but always looking for cool granite. I found a 3 inch near perfect sphere a couple years ago. Polished it up in the vibe and gave it toy daughter. She's been playing with that rock for 18 months. I've given her big polishes agates and Jasper's and other "gem stones" but she only loves that lowly rock.

@shotgunner so was I =/ But during work today there was new gravel laid at the guys house and he let me go through it, pics coming up in a bit, I think I found some cool stuff
