Gotta give credit where its due. Jamesp gave a tip on how to handle quartz in the rotary. Keep the barrel 75 to 80 percent full to avoid frosting. I had two weeks into the coarse before I took the tip. Had the load at 2/3rds and had a bunch of frosted stones. Everything got better as the volume increased. Rough came from the Rockshed. Whole batch... Got a good shine on these. Camera took a selfie... Rose... Amethyst... Citrine... More... Few more... Last one... Thanks for looking and keep on rollin' them stones.

The beauty of your tumbles is the clue to how quartz has such feminine names.

Awesome batch. My kids both really like tumbling the quartz/amethyst from rockshed. It gets pricey but its always worth it. Your rose quartz is about as good as it gets.

Wow! Nice. That second to the last photo reminds me of "boiled sweets" from the U.K.

Chuck These came from Rocksheds mixed rough packages. I have ordered several bags. They are a lot of fun, you get different agates and jaspers along with quartz and quartzite. I have even gotten sodalite, obsidian, unakite, and labradorite among some other things. It's like Christmas in every bag. If you haven't bought some of the mixed already the kids might like it too. This big kid does.
