Its been a while,..... work got unexpectedly busy for a prolonged period of time, and after taking on admin on one of the FB pages, internet activities got a bit out of hand. Had been checking in regularly, but only jumped in with comments on rare occasions. Now things seem to settle down a bit, and I should have more time again to be a regular face here again. As we got a spring theme-contest going, I thought I give the most colorful stuff a try. Its one of the copper intrusion Pancawarna One slab, two very different results This one is the nicest one, ever. Doublesided, so will groove it and have it groove wrapped this week. That will be the first actual cab for me to wear in over two years. The best picture I got from it yesterday Till here for now, will have something new to show in about a week in the carving section. Thanks for looking and remain herewith, with best regards, Kurt

I like the way the cracks serve as boundaries for different textures.

Its from Indonesia, Tommy.
Largely unknown in the west and only found in small quantity. Plus everything my contact cuts is vastly different (just look at the difference in those to cabs), so that stuff is never boring.

Very pretty and unique material. Love the double-sided cab and glad to see that you made something to wear for yourself, Kurt! Will you make a pendant or ring for the cab?

crack in the golden egg Indonesia? dog gone ! you don't hear of many rocks from that area just satay's it will wear well Kurt! Ohh yes, you do hear and see quite a bit about material from this corner of the world. But its usually the average mass-produced stuff left behind by the Japanese and Chinese. glad to see that you made something to wear for yourself, Kurt! Will you make a pendant or ring for the cab? Make things to wear for myself all the time, but its usually the carvings. Cabs need metal (don't like drilling holes) and metal is expensive. Pendant it is... To big for a ring at over an inch, plus I'm not very keen on rings for myself. The only plan for ring is a Fire Agate and sparkly combo. Got the diamonds (Olive Green), but have yet to come across a special FA that I would want to wear that way. And then there is the design of the ring itself? It took me 30 years to decide on a cross, it could easily take that and more for a ring. But then again, it might just about be reality tomorrow........
