Trying really hard to figure these slabs out that I buy before posting here... Crayola jasper colors seem spot on for this one, but I'm not seeing other versions with the swirls, spots, 'poppies', etc. I really picked this one up because I loved the 'Jupiter Eye'. It's very hard, super smooth, and the colors only deepen slightly when wet. The other jasper I got I thought had the name written on it... but it just says "Jasper - Unique". More study on that one before I post a picture (i.e. before I give up on identifying it!!)

It does not look like any of the crayola jasper I've seen but then again I'm not an expert. Hope you find out what it is, it looks pretty darn interesting.

This is sad... I resorted to typing "jasper slab" in Ebay and seeing if anything looked like this.... A degree in Geology does not = knowledge in naming rock slabs! Stoney Creek or Lavic are tops on my list. But it is and ever-changing list, so feel free to hack it to pieces.

Orby patterns on the right and left edges make it look like orbicular rhyolite to me.....Mel
