I bought a bunch of rocks at a rock shop today and I have no clue what I bought. I know I have a couple of pieces of pet wood. Any help in identifying would be appreciated. Thanks, Andrea

First pic top center is stromatolite. Left is Montana moss. center may be a cut stromatolite.
Second pic center is pet wood.
Third pic top is pet wood. Right may be fossil bone.

Ditto what Don said, plus 2nd pic: at top looks like serpentine and right side looks like an agate+opal mix Last picture: right top looks like it might be bloodstone jasper (maybe from India ??), center greenish one looks like it has epidote and is trying to be unakite maybe (the picture is a bit over exposed so hard to tell, and top left is some kind of jasper
You have some nice rocks there

Very nice assortment of rocks. I wish I can find a rock shop around here. I did a local search for Rock Shop and all I can find are old records or CD's around here.

Thanks Junglejim….I didn't even know this rock shop was within a half mile from me until recently. I've only been there twice and I'll go back again next week I'm sure. I just sat there on a bucket with a spray bottle and went through the piles. I really want to go out and rock hound but with summer coming here in the desert it won't be happening….I was burning up at the rock shop and it was only 80 degrees. I've looked up Rock Shops also and nothing really comes up. Try searching different search words….or ask on here if anyone knows of any in your area. Or maybe rock shows near you….Rock and Gem magazine has a listing of shows across the country. If you tell me what city you are in or near I can look and see if any are near you.

I think the first pic, middle rock is a death plate, you can see snail shells in the mix.
Second pic, bottom center looks like pistachio marble.

John…yea it does look like there are some snail shells. Is it actually called death plate?
Thanks gemfeller….I don't have much luck finding rock shops online.
