It would be nice to know a little more about this rock. One thing how was it etched and what did it look like before? Don

What is the purity of your native silver?? Native silver here generally ranges between 85% and 95% purity. It is often associated with other minerals from this area including cobaltite, safflorite, and skutterudite to name a few. Thanks! Large pieces like this one are becoming harder to find all the time. It would be nice to know a little more about this rock. One thing how was it etched and what did it look like before? Don
This piece was etched using Hydrochloric Acid. It is available in most hardware stores as Muriatic Acid. Very fast and aggressive at removing carbonates like calcite. Vinegar, lemon juice, or anything else that is acidic will also work but it will take longer. Sorry I don't have any pictures of what it looked like before. It was just a large rock with a vein of silver and carbonate running through it. The wall rock on each side of the vein was knocked away and then placed in the acid.
Here is one where the carbonate was only partially dissolved to expose the silver vein more.
Jollyrockhound, gingerkid, and plumberinaz. Thank you for the nice comments. Very much appreciated!
I hope to be able to get out and do some more rockhounding soon. We still have snow on the ground here.
