Just finished this one up, been working on this after work for the past two nights. I still need to seal it and do a few touch ups. Brass back plate with domed brass and copper "eye" and matching accent on the bail.

Wow, Really nice work, love the tones in it... What do you seal it with? I'm working on meteorite heart and need to seal it with something and don't know what to use. Great work... Deb

Deb Thank you, I use several different sealers depending on what I am sealing; These folks have several different sealers that work well Sculp NouveauI just starting using this stuff also, as I found a lot of folks on some other forums talked very highly of it ProtectaClearor I have also used in the past a really good automotive Acrylic Enamel Almost forgot to mention Renaissance Wax. For a topical wax it works really well Hope that helps, Phil

I really love the patina work on your new pieces... it really adds a new dimension. Thanks Tela, I have been meaning to play around with patinas for some while now. I am glad I finally did. I also bought the new Patina book that Matthew Runfola wrote. There is a wealth of info in that book.

That is really cool. I've used the ProtectaClear before but I was trying to seal copper wire wraps to keep them from tarnishing and it didn't really work very well on all the swirls and such.

I used a small craft paint brush to try to get it in all the nooks and crannies of the wire.
