Well I'm almost done! 4th attempt at the crown piece, which is really just layering version 1 & 2 together. I finally figured out that the copper was blending into the color of the hat & that's why I wasn't happy with any of my attempts. So I'm creating some depth & texture. As the copper ages, it will get darker & stand out more. I don't have any LOS and I'm allergic to ammonia so it's just going to have to darken naturally

The ugly spot in the middle where I wired the pieces together will be covered with a cluster of pearls & crystal "stamen" & I will use braided leather for the band itself.
